Sustainability is important to us
Green places of power - joie de vivre
and sustainability
united.
Sustainability is a central component of our actions. As a garden and sports ground construction company, we do everything we can to conserve natural resources and protect the environment. We do not see sustainability as a trend, but as a long-term commitment to people, nature and future generations.
A particular focus is on promoting biodiversity. With well thought-out, site-appropriate planting concepts, we create habitats that support native plant and animal species and are ecologically valuable at the same time. Species-rich meadows, structurally rich green spaces and robust trees and shrubs promote a stable, resilient ecosystem.
We are also committed to consistently avoiding invasive neophytes in new plantings - in line with the Federal Council's 2017 strategy. By using native or harmless plant species, we are actively helping to prevent the spread of harmful alien species and protect our local ecosystem.
Our sustainable working approach also includes practical environmental measures such as composting, rainwater harvesting and the targeted use of environmentally friendly pesticides. These support healthy soils, promote nutrient cycles and strengthen biodiversity. This results in more resilient plants that are better able to withstand diseases and pests. At the same time, we reduce our carbon footprint and make an active contribution to the long-term preservation of our ecosystems.
With this commitment, we are sending out a clear signal for responsible construction and sustainable landscaping - today and for the future.
We work efficiently and in an environmentally friendly manner with state-of-the-art machines and vehicles. All machines are equipped with particle filters. We reduce our transport routes "to the max" by sourcing our products from the local area.
We operate our washing area with rainwater. In general, we use resources sparingly, avoid unnecessary waste through careful planning and dispose of the remaining waste properly.
By sowing wildflower meadows and creating other green spaces, we are carrying out ecologically valuable work - also because we use sprays with extreme restraint.
Environmental and climate-relevant criteria were at the heart of the planning and construction of our company headquarters in Kiesen BE. The building, which was completed in 2010 and is located directly next to the highway and railroad, meets the MINERGIE ® standard supported by the cantons, federal government and industry. We also want to set an example for sustainability when it comes to energy consumption - with "Wasserkraft CH". In other words, by sourcing energy from the renewable source of hydropower, 100% of which comes from Switzerland. And which will also be available to future generations.
