SUVA training

At the start of the project at the beginning of January 2023, a self-assessment was carried out in which the current safety measures and precautions in the companies were evaluated. The self-assessment was followed by a detailed assessment of the current safety situation in our company by SUVA. Weak points and potential for improvement were identified.

A tailored action plan was drawn up based on the current situation, which proposed specific measures to improve safety. Training courses were held for supervisors and site managers to ensure that the measures were firmly established. These training courses imparted knowledge on how to deal safely with hazards and promote a safety culture within the team.

The audit seminar was a central component of the project. It comprised half a day of theory and half a day of practical exercises on the construction site. The Suva Safety App was used for the seminar to carry out audits on site. A total of four courses were held, with the last course taking place at the end of August 2024.

The combination of theoretical training and practical application enabled the participants to transfer what they had learned directly to the construction sites and ensure that the safety measures were implemented correctly.

The "Integrated Safety" project will run until all measures identified in the action plan have been fully implemented and safety standards in the company have been raised to a new level.

To further improve safety on construction sites, the project focuses not only on compliance with regulations, but also on actively promoting a safety culture. This means that safety measures are not just seen as a duty, but as an integral part of the daily work process. The training and on-site audits are designed to raise awareness of potential hazards and promote a proactive approach to safety issues.

Continuous self-assessment and practical audits with the Suva Safety App make it possible to identify weak points at an early stage and initiate immediate improvements. In the long term, this holistic approach should lead to accidents being minimized and working conditions on construction sites being made safer and healthier.
