When the UEFA Women's EURO 2025 kicks off, the Wankdorf Stadium will also be in the spotlight of international football. What few people know: Beneath the players' cleats lies a pitch that until recently was still artificial turf.
For the tournament, the surface had to be replaced in record time - with a perfect natural turf that meets the highest FIFA standards. A challenge that required both technical expertise and absolute precision.
